A Strong Start: Our Two-Year Kindergarten Program
At Russell Byers Charter School, we believe in giving children the best possible start to their educational journey.
That’s why we are one of only two schools in Philadelphia offering a two-year, full-day kindergarten program—starting with 4K (four-year-old kindergarten) and continuing into 5K (five-year-old kindergarten).
By beginning a year earlier, our students gain a solid foundation in academics, social-emotional learning, and school readiness, ensuring they enter 5K with confidence and the skills they need to thrive. Our play-based, hands-on curriculum nurtures curiosity, builds early literacy and math skills, and fosters independence, setting the stage for long-term success in school and beyond.
