A C A D E M I C S : 5K Expedition
The 5K expedition, “Building Homes for Families”, focused on structures and the materials used in building everything from houses to skyscrapers. Students learned that a sturdy foundation is critical in any structure and discussed the potential dangers of an unstable base. We teamed up with Safe Home Philadelphia and raised over $1,000 to support a homeless family. In Love Park, we acted out an awareness action plan designed by the students.
