1st Grade Expedition

The Weather in Philadelphia

The first grade expedition explored weather, its causes, and its impact on people. Students learned about Philadelphia's four seasons as well as common and severe weather. At our Celebration of Learning, students presented haikus about weather, living word walls, and tableaus (dramatic interpretations) of severe weather such as tornadoes. The photographs show students working on creating tornado tableaus and illustrating living word walls about hurricanes.
